The Oakley s is one of the brand’s most iconic models, born in the late ’90s as part of the legendary X-Metal lineup. Designed as futuristic, almost sculptural eyewear, the Juliet was released in 1999 and immediately became a symbol of innovation thanks to its construction in X-Metal, a special titanium-based alloy that is extremely strong, lightweight, and shaped into bold, curved lines. The Plutonite lenses provided full UV protection, and some versions included hydrophobic coatings to resist sweat and external elements. Original production ended in 2012, but in recent years Oakley revived the model through the Muzm series, using modern techniques such as 3D-printed titanium to preserve the original design’s essence.
Today, the Juliet is experiencing a new renaissance thanks to the collaboration between Oakley and Cactus Jack, the brand of Travis Scott, who was appointed the company’s “Chief Visionary.” This partnership has led to extremely limited editions of the Juliet, reimagined in the Cactus Jack aesthetic and produced in only 50 units per colorway, each accompanied by special items such as the “Juliet coin” and a dedicated Pelican case. The pair shown in the photo is the Plasma colorway, equipped with exclusive, never-before-released Positive Red lenses, a combination that immediately captured the attention of collectors. Images of Travis Scott wearing this unique setup further amplified the model’s desirability, making this reissue one of the most sought-after blends of heritage, pop culture, and timeless design.
